DEAR SINGLE, ARE YOU READY FOR THE MARRIAGE YOU'RE PRAYING FOR?
I was on the phone with a friend this morning and I teased him, saying I feel dizzy for him because he still has three more years to complete school. He responded that he's actually tired already...huh😎
Then I reminded him how earnestly we prayed for him to gain admission, yet he's almost tired of the journey after God answered.
Economists say human needs are insatiable, but the real question is: Do you have the capacity for what you are desiring?
The wise virgins had extra oil because they knew it takes capacity to wait for the groom and that there would be a higher demand for oil.
Matthew 25:4
"The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps."
Could it be that some unanswered prayers are delayed because you don't yet have the capacity to sustain what you are asking for?
Dear single, marriage is more than a wedding day. The next season will demand intellectual, mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial capacity.
You need capacity to be a godly wife, a godly husband, a godly mother, and a godly father. You can't give what you don't have.
Proverbs 24:3
"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established."
So before you pray for a ring, pray for growth.
Before you look for a spouse, become one.
