IMEP Successfully Hosts 2026 New Year Convocation & Leadership Summit

The Institute of Monitoring and Evaluation Practitioners (IMEP), Ghana, successfully organized its New Year Convocation and Leadership Summit on Saturday, 14th March 2026, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. The event brought together approximately 130 professionals, practitioners, and stakeholders within the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) space.
The summit was held under the theme: “Advancing Institutional Excellence Through Leadership, Evidence & Sustainable Performance.” It served as a platform for knowledge sharing, professional development, and strategic dialogue on national and institutional performance.
The program featured a 35-minute keynote address, which set the tone for the day, followed by a 40-minute national policy roundtable discussion, where critical issues affecting the M&E landscape were examined.

One of the key highlights of the event was the induction of new IMEP members, welcoming them into the professional community and reaffirming the institute’s commitment to capacity building and professional standards.
Additionally, the inauguration of the IJMEL Editorial Board marked a significant step toward strengthening research, publication, and knowledge dissemination within the field.

Participants also benefited from valuable networking opportunities and recognition sessions that celebrated excellence and contribution to the profession.

The successful organization of the summit reflects IMEP Ghana’s continued dedication to promoting leadership, evidence-based decision-making, and sustainable institutional performance.
