Today the10th of October is World Mental Health Day. This is an international day for raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting mental well-being. Established by the World Federation for Mental Health in 1992, this day serves as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. This day should remind us all of the need to address key challenges in mental health care, reduce stigma, and encourage open conversations about mental well-being.
Governments, organizations, and individuals need to participate in campaigns, discussions, and activities to promote greater understanding and support for mental health.
Mental health affects how people think, feel, and act, influencing every aspect of life, including relationships, work, and daily functioning. Yet, millions globally face mental health challenges without access to proper care due to stigma, lack of resources, or societal neglect.
World Mental Health Day calls for action to improve mental health services, integrate them into public health systems, and ensure that everyone has the right to care and support. It is also a day to check in with ourselves and others, fostering empathy, kindness, and a culture of mental well-being.
If you are going through any mental challenges, talk to someone .There is help.Walk to the nearest health center,or any religious institution and speak to any counsellor around .Join the champaign today. #
