But first, are you FOR or AGAINST the motion?

Join us for our X Space this Friday at 7:00 PM as we explore this question at the heart of national development, challenge perspectives, and examine the balance between the people’s mandate and technical expertise.

Today, on International Youth Day, we are reminded of something we believe deeply at Emerging Public Leaders Ghana (EPL Ghana): young people do not lack ideas, ambition, or the desire to make a difference. What they often need is someone willing to open the door.

On this day, we celebrate the young people already leading, the ones finding their way and the ones still waiting for their opportunity.

Happy International Youth Day to all our Fellows, Alumni and every young person out there!🌍

Leadership and governance remain central to the success of every nation.

As countries seek sustainable growth and development, an important question continues to emerge:

Between technical expertise and democratic mandate, which is more critical for national development?

On 29th–30th July, some selected Fellows and Alumni of EPL Ghana participated in the Ghana AI Summit and Awards 2026, held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Accra.

The summit, themed “Artificial Intelligence for Economic Growth and Job Creation: Innovation, Inclusion and Future Jobs,” brought together policymakers, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to explore how artificial intelligence can drive Ghana’s digital transformation.

For our Fellows and Alumni, was an opportunity to engage with emerging ideas around AI policy, responsible technology adoption, innovation, and the future of work. Through sessions, demonstrations, and conversations with leaders in the space, they gained insights that will shape how they think about leadership and public service in an evolving world.

At EPL Ghana, we remain committed to creating pathways for emerging public leaders to access meaningful experiences, build relevant networks, and develop the capacity to contribute to Ghana’s growth.
