INTRODUCTION
Patriots For Development is affiliated to Northern Ghana ecclesiastical province of Kumasi Archdiocese They represents Christians faithful in the Catholic church who hails from the Northern Region, Upper East and Upper West Regions but apparently living in Ashanti and Brong- Ahafo Regions from 2006 in the Church and has subsequently gained enviable credibility over time respective vil
lages and towns back home, Owing to their meaningful contributions. The Organizer Clement Asokiya, Currently the Executive Director in consultation with members initiated the birth of Patriots For Development in 2009 to serve the general public and subsequently got it registered at the registrar- general’s department (RGD) on the 22nd June, 2010 and also got it register with Atwima Nwabiagya District Assemble as an (NGO) on 28thJune, 2013 and subsequently moved to the National status as NGO July, 26th 2013 at the Social Welfare Department Accra Ghana. And its main objective is to undertake fund raising activities in aid of its three Northern Regions communities. The group’s first public fund- raising ceremony outside the church was in collaboration with the council of the Northern Ghana chiefs , Imams and other churches Based in Kumasi and its Surroundings in aid of Northern Ghana Disaster 13th July 2008 at the Center For National Culture, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. It was well attended even attracted Donation from a group Based in the USA called New Jersey the ceremony was held at Maple Wood Hotel Oduom –Kumasi on the 13th September, 2008. The Honorable Deputy Minister, for interior, Nana Obiri Boahen, Grace the occasion at which the presentation was made to the group. Clement Asokiya (1) is a graduate of Bawku Technical Institute with City and Guilds of London Institute, He has led the NGO to success with 22 years of working experience as a former security co-ordinator of Darko Farms and Company Limited. (YCS) Ghana as Regional co-ordinator, Organizer Northern Ghana Ecclesiastical Province of Kumasi, Founder of Young Christian Students (YCS) Ghana at Nortre –dame Girls Senior High School, Sunyani currently Managing Director Skyline Guest House Madina Accra Ghana and 26 years of Local organization experience and remains continuously focused on establishing business relationship that will foster growth in developing with corporate bodies yielding mutually beneficial results
PFD Ghana as per the establishment is a registered NGO subject to the rules and regulations governing NGO’s in Ghana. Purpose: pursuing human dignity and promotion of socio-economic development in deprived communities. Vision: is to promote a development in a peaceful atmosphere in partnership with government, civil society groups, and corporate bodies in Ghana and beyond. Mission: To progressively promote development to meet the needs of the underprivileged in society. Goals: To advocate for social injustices among the underprivileged in the society. Team work
