On Friday, 13th February 2026, the South Sudanese Studentsβ Association at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) proudly hosted a vibrant and memorable welcoming party for their freshmen β the Class of 2029. The event marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the new students and served as a warm introduction to both the university community and the South Sudanese family on campus.
The ceremony was filled with joy, unity, and cultural pride. From inspiring speeches and words of encouragement to music, dance, and social interactions, the atmosphere reflected the strong bond that exists among South Sudanese students at KNUST. The freshmen were formally welcomed and assured that they now belong to a supportive community that will stand by them throughout their years of study.
