THE GYAASE DIVISION IS ONE OF THE WINGS OF THE OKUAPEMAN KINGDOM.

THE DIVISION IS THE CURATOR OF THE OKUAPEHENE’S STOOL PARAPHERNALIA AND CUSTOMARY ACTIVITIES THAT TAKE PLACE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE OKUAPEHENE. HE ALSO ORCHESTRATES THE AFFAIRS OF THE GYAASE DIVISION FROM AMANOKROM, THE NERVE CENTER. THE DIVISION ACCOUNTS FOR ADOWSO AND THEIR NEARBY VILLAGES.

EARLIER THIS MORNING, AT THE OKUAPEHENE’S PALACE, THE GYAASE DIVISION AND ENTOURAGE LED BY OYEEMAN OSIM KWATIA II, PAID A ROYAL VISIT TO CONGRATULATE AND REAFFIRM THEIR COMMITMENT TO OSEADEEYO KWASI AKUFFO ABABIO.

ON THEIR ARRIVAL, THEY PRESENTED A SHEEP, BOTTLES OF SCHNAPPS AND DRINKS, ORNAMENTS TO SHOW REVERENCE TO THEIR WORSHIPFUL MASTER OSEADEEYO KWASI AKUFFO ABABIO.

SPEAKING FOR THE GYAASEMAN, OYEEMAN OSIM KWATIA AGAIN PLEDGED THEIR SUPPORT FOR OKUAPEHENE WHETHER RAIN OR SHINE, ANYTIME THEY ARE CALLED TO SERVE THEY WONT HESITATE TO RESPOND TO THE CALL OF OKUAPEMAN.

AGAIN HE SAID, AMANOKROM IS NEVER DIFFERENT FROM AKROPONG, ON THE GROUNDS OF DISCRIMINATION. HISTORY HAS IT THAT GYAASE IS THE DIRECT NEPHEW TO OKUAPEHENE SO THEY SHOULDN’T BE SEEN DIFFERENTLY. OYEEMAN HAMMERED ON THE PLIGHT OF DISCRIMINATION.

DEMANDS FAIR REPRESENTATION IN THE NEWLY BUILT OF ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT.
"We are aware of a number of internationally recognised Professors, Senior Lecturers and Professionals of Dangme origin, who have the needed background especially, in Science, Environmental Science and Agriculture, which are very key and relevant areas to the University of Environment and Sustainable Development. We humbly request that priority be given to people with such background to contribute in steering the affairs of the new university".

"The groups noted that their aim is not to ignite any ethnic or tribal sentiments but to cry out for help for their indigenous people in the area, bearing in mind both the intended and unintended consequences of siting a university in a community".

"We believe this move will greatly lead to livelihood empowerment of the people in the area. Our eyes are keenly fixed on ensuing developments in the new university", the statement added.
