The Volta Region successfully hosted a Refresher Training Workshop on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and the Preparation of the 2025 Annual Progress Reports (APR) for Development Planning Officers.
The workshop, organized with support from the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, focused on strengthening the capacity of planners to deliver high-quality, evidence-based reports in line with national development planning requirements.
Participants were taken through:
✅ Fundamentals of Monitoring & Evaluation
✅ Step-by-step preparation of the 2025 Annual Progress Report
✅ Review of key observations from the 2024 APR
✅ Data quality, analysis, and reporting standards
✅ Practical case studies and hands-on sessions
The training emphasized that Annual Progress Reports are not just documents, but critical tools for transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making in Ghana’s development process.
💡 With improved skills in tracking performance, analyzing indicators, and reporting outcomes, planners in the Volta Region are better positioned to support effective implementation of development programmes under the national framework.
👏 Kudos to the Regional Economic Planning Officer Felix Adom Boateng and his able assistants for such a workshop and participants for their commitment to professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
