Ahado Youth Environmental Club was formed in 1998 but was registered in 2007 as community based non-profit voluntary organization with registration numbers CB 181248 and G. 20,445. The organization has one hundred and twenty permanent youth volunteers who engage in activities to improve and conserve the natural resources, bio-heritage and the environment. A.Y.E.C also promotes youth development an

d human rights in Hohoe Municipality through education, awareness creation and positive actions with and in the spirit of volunteerism. The club has made important progress in community land, water, animals and forest conservation, youth and gender development and human rights issues with support from local and foreign partners.

Our Story

Ahado Youth Environmental Club was formed in 1998 as community based non-profit voluntary organization with registration numbers CB 181248 and G. 20,445. A.Y.E.C also advocates on youth development, health and human Rights/Women’s Rights in Hohoe Municipality through education, awareness creation and positive actions with and in the spirit of volunteerism. The club in conjunction with international and internal organizations has made important progress in both its activities and aims.
