In many rural communities, children struggle not because they lack intelligence, but because they lack access.

No libraries.
No age-appropriate books.
No digital tools.
No safe, quiet spaces to learn.

Literacy is more than decoding words. It builds confidence, protects dignity, and opens doors to opportunity. When children read well, they stay in school longer, are less vulnerable to exploitation, and begin to see possibilities beyond poverty.

Yet in rural Ghana, basic reading proficiency remains a serious challenge.

This year, we are taking decisive action and commitment to scale our Books for Rural Schools Initiative to reach 50,000 rural children across 100 schools with the reading and learning materials they need to thrive.

Earlier today, three school children passed by and stopped in front of our home office. With shy smiles, one of them asked, “Please, do you still have books we can read?”

They remembered us from a few months ago during our Books for Rural Schools initiative when we were packing books to send out. That moment stayed with them, and now they had come back, hoping to find a chance to read too.

Their simple question carried so much meaning. It reminded us that the hunger for knowledge is alive in every child, even in the most remote communities. All they need is access, encouragement, and a story that opens their world.

We are not just giving out books, but we are nurturing dreams, curiosity, and confidence in children who deserve to believe that their future can be bright.

Every book we share plants a seed of hope that can grow into something extraordinary.

Behind every impact story, there are unsung heroes!

When you see our photos and updates from the TEKCHILLS, you may not notice Daniel Otiboe Kodjo. He is the one who often slips behind the camera, quietly ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Yet his role has been central to the success of our Books for Rural Schools Initiative.

Daniel is a Level 200 student at . His schedule is already demanding, but he still made time to serve as our Logistics Coordinator volunteer. Thanks to his commitment, he successfully coordinated our visits too 11 out of 14 rural communities, delivering books and hope to children who deserve every opportunity to learn.

While others saw the smiles of children holding books, Daniel was the one arranging transport, coordinating schedules, and carrying the weight that made those moments possible.

is rarely glamorous. It requires sacrifice, humility, and a heart for service. Daniel embodies all of these. Though he avoids the spotlight, his impact shines brightly in the lives of the children we serve.

Today, we honor him and every volunteer whose quiet work drives our mission forward.

We are proud to share the completion of the first round of our Books for Rural School Initiative. Toflokpo Presby Primary and Sege E/A Islamic Primary became the 13th and 14th schools to benefit.

So far, over 3,800 children in rural communities now have access to books that inspire learning and open new possibilities.

Our vision is for every rural child to have the opportunity to , , and .

This milestone was made possible through the support of , donors, volunteers, and partners. We are grateful for your commitment to advancing literacy where it is needed most.

The next round is underway, and we invite philanthropists, angel investors, and partners to join us in reaching more schools and more children.
