CCPTC Alumni Impact: On 23rd May , VP Abigail Tutu joined CCPTC alumni at Bosome Freho ( Ashanti Region) in an outreach organized by the New impact Ministry to screen women for cervical cancer. At the end of the program, 83 women were screened using visual inspection with acetic acid, out of which six were positive. An arrangement has been made to provide treatment for the six women who tested positive.

CCPTC Alumni Impact:

CCPTC alumna Ms. Abigail Opokuaa conducted health education and screening of women on cervical and breast cancer at Asankare Methodist women as part of Mother's Day celebration activities.
28 women were screened for both breast and cervical cancer.
3 were VIA positives and were treated instantly. A woman with a breast lump was also referred to the hospital for further management. Kudos Abigail.

Today, nurses and midwives are playing a crucial role in educating women about cervical cancer prevention as well as providing screening and vaccination. They're going above and beyond to reach women where they are, like at church events and gatherings. CCPTC alumna, Bernice Boateng and her team were at the All Saints Catholic Church Akim Oda to sensitize women on cervical cancer prevention. Thank you to all the nurses who are making a difference in the fight against this disease! "

Alumni from the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre (CCPTC), Bator are working across the country to provide HPV vaccination, screening and treatment of cervical pre-cancerous lesions to Ghanaian women.

CCPTC alumna and Vice President , Ms . Abigail Tutu was at the Agogo Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College to sensitize students about cervical cancer prevention. She was also hosted on radio Salt Radio and TV where she created awareness on cervical cancer. Abigail currently works at the Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo.
