On 25–26 June 2026, Z-Connect Network, represented by Miss Jasper Fafali Kumah, participated in the Ghana Civil Society Forum alongside civil society leaders, policymakers, and advocates under the theme "Reimagining Partnerships for Democratic Consolidation and Inclusive Development".

The forum facilitated rich discussions on forming effective alliances for democratic governance, rethinking CSO sustainability in evolving contexts, financing inclusive and sustainable development, and empowering locally led, community-driven initiatives.

From these conversations, we understood that civil society must seek innovative funding approaches through local philanthropy, social enterprise, and community resource mobilisation rather than depend solely on external donors.

We also observed how strong partnerships built on trust and shared leadership are essential for democratic consolidation and inclusive growth, and how genuinely locally led development places communities at the heart of decision-making, ownership, and accountability.

The forum was enhanced by the presence of inspiring figures such as H.E. John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Esther Ofei-Aboagye, Samson Lardy Anyenini, Bashiratu Kamal Muslim, and
Daniel Korley Botchway, whose insights deepened the dialogue and motivated collective action.

This experience reminded us that when youth, communities, and partners unite, we can reimagine a future in which democracy and development advance hand in hand.

Dear Ministry of Education,

We bring you greetings from Z Connect Network.
We have received with great joy your press release on the initiative to help combat the abuse of drugs in our basic schools.

As an organization that is interested in advocating and promoting youth development, we undertook a campaign in the Ho Municipality among some basic schools in collaboration with the Ho Municipal Education Directorate, Narcotics Control Commission, and Food and Drugs Authority Ghana.

On 28th May 2026, to mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Z-Connect Network, in partnership with Country Observers Mission on Governance -COMoG, launched the first edition of COMoG's PadHer Project with a school sensitization on Menstrual Health and Hygiene at Hoẽ R.C Primary School and Hoẽ M.A JHS in the Ho Central municipality.

Staying true to our mission of education and advocacy, we engaged learners from Basic 4 to 8 through interactive sessions and donated sanitary pads to the learners.

We sparked conversations, dispelled myths, and encouraged boys and girls alike to embrace menstrual health as a shared responsibility.

This initiative reflects Z Connect Network's commitment to empowering young people with knowledge and creating safe spaces for dialogue.

We deeply appreciate the sponsors and volunteers whose support made this impact possible.
We are also grateful to COMoG for accepting our collaboration to make this a success.

At Z Connect Network, we remain dedicated to amplifying youth voices, driving advocacy, and breaking the silence around menstruation and other health and social issues.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Country Observers Mission on Governance -COMoG PadHER Project.

Together, Z-Connect Network and COMoG will be leading a school sensitisation on Menstrual Health and Hygiene for girls at Hoe RC Primary School and Hoe M.A JHS on 28th May 2026.

This collaboration is driven by our shared commitment to Education and Advocacy – ensuring every girl experiences menstruation with dignity, confidence, and hope.

In the month of February 2026, we brought together students from various schools in Ho township to tackle the pressing issue of drug and substance abuse among youth in the digital age.

A big thank you to our esteemed partners: Ghana Education Service, Food and Drugs Authority Ghana and Narcotics Control Commission, for lending their expertise. We're also grateful to Salaria EyeMed, Ho., and Kente Haul for their generous support.

At the heart of this initiative, is our commitment to Education and Advocacy. We're dedicated to empowering our youth.

We are proud to share that Z Connect Network was represented at the two-day Training on the Use of Young Citizens Score Cards ( ), organised by Plan International Ghana under the Youth Accelerator for Change ( ) Project, held on 28th – 29th April 2026 in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

Our representative, Miss Jasper Fafali Kumah, attended on behalf of Z Connect Network, and we are deeply grateful to Plan International Ghana for the invitation to participate in this important initiative.

The Young Citizens Score Card is a powerful social accountability tool that empowers young people and children to assess public services, understand their rights, and hold duty bearers accountable. We are now trained to use it.

As a Training of Trainers (ToT), this goes beyond one event. Our next steps are clear:
✅ Conduct set-down trainings within our network
✅ Implement the YCSC process in our communities
✅ Engage duty bearers and push for real, measurable change

We are committed to putting this tool to work, because young people deserve services that meet their needs, and communities deserve to be heard.
