We've come to the end of this Ghana trip, as always, it's been a blast! Much appreciation to all the gorgeous crew at Meet Me There Eco Lodge for your care, and to Jolinaiko Tours for the adventures up to Bolgatanga. We spent our last evening at one of our favorite haunts in Accra, Zen Gardens, listening to Palm W**e music, smooth and joyous. And while you listen, you really have to drink Palm W**e πŸ˜€

As always, such a pleasure to visit the Artists Alliance gallery. Excited to have purchased a piece to bring home, in fact, so excited I forgot to take a photo! Watch this space for when we have it on our wall 😊

Choosing somewhere to stay in Accra this time around we thought we'd try a different option. So grateful we found this amazing Airbnb which has a very special collection of Art, furniture, and more besides. Even an original "Fantasy Coffin", which for those who know me & my work, is perfect! If you are not sure which item it may be, look for the fish πŸ˜‰

After an amazing road trip all the way up to Bolgatanga, we're back in Accra for a few days before heading back to NZ. Such a contrast...out last night to +233 Jazz club, which has tripled in size since our last visit. Packed out for the inaugural performance of the very first Ghana Jazz Orchestra, and it was a real treat! We have no doubt these musicians will go far.

For my drum friends - we visited a Tamale Tannery, they are famous for their leather here. We watched the process, using all natural products. Debbie McLean thought of you!

Words and photographs do not do justice to the incredible awe inspiring studio/gallery/space we visited today. Red Clay is the home of artist Ibrahim Mahama and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit. The installations are simply huge, on many levels.
