WAKE UP — PART 5
INTRODUCTION
To wake up means to open your eyes and stand up. Spiritually, when you wake up, the eyes of your heart are opened to heaven, and then you stand.
If you are not yet sure of your heavenly destination, that may be why you value the things of this world more than the things of heaven. This shows that your heart is still asleep.
If you are always looking at the ascension of Jesus, it means your heart is awake. When your heart is awake, every time you receive earthly achievements, you will still look up to heavenly glory.
What is happening in this world today is that, no matter what we have received, we are still looking for more. This shows that our hearts are asleep when we have no desire for heavenly glory.
Do not keep desiring the things of this world. Be content with what you have. Man cannot qualify you for heaven. A title cannot qualify you, and education cannot qualify you. It is by His mercy that you are qualified for heaven. It is through the price Jesus paid that you have been given access to heaven.
MAIN TEXT: REVELATION 3:17 (NIV)
“You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”.
Let your heart begin to examine you, and truly accept Jesus now.
Before God, we are blind. Before God, we are naked. Before God, we are poor and pitiful.
Why is it so difficult for you to forgive? It is because your heart is still asleep.
Today, we see people making friends in the body but not in the spirit. These are relationships that exist in the body without spiritual existence.
From what I have seen, I would rather be your enemy in the body and your friend in the spirit. This means that even after you offend me, I will still go into my prayer room and pray for you to make heaven.
The kind of friendship the world desires today is friendship in the body. But Jesus wants us to have a friendship that goes beyond the body and reaches the spirit.
If you are a friend of Jesus in the spirit, it means that after this life, Jesus will not allow you to suffer the eternal consequences of separation from Him. Rather, He will make a way for you to be safe with Him.
Relationships in the body do not last forever, but relationships in the spirit have eternal significance. Wake up to true friendship!
Your body is not the most valuable thing to Jesus; your soul is what matters for eternity. That is why, when people say, “You do not check on me because I have not been coming to church,” the response should be that I am busy praying for your spirit, which is more valuable.
We have weapons on the outside and weapons on the inside.
Ephesians 6:11 NIV
[11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Tell your neighbour, “Repent!
John 4:24 NIV
[24] God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”
True friendship is when your relationship with someone goes beyond the physical and is rooted in the spirit, with a genuine desire for that person's eternal salvation.
I prefer to be your friend in the spirit rather than only in the body.
I am busy praying for you to make heaven. You, too, should be busy praying for those who have hurt you, so that they may make heaven.
There should be no need for humble requests anymore because you are an apostle.
If you say that you have already made it, know that your spirit may be asleep. Many have failed to make it to their heavenly destination. Do not join them.
Come to Jesus for mercy, and let His mercy rescue you. The same way you need His mercy, I also need His mercy.
Do not become so comfortable with what you have achieved in this world that you forget heavenly glory. Do not allow earthly achievements, titles, education, or relationships to take the place of your desire for heavenly glory.
Let your heart be awakened to the reality of heaven. Examine yourself, repent, forgive those who have hurt you, and pray for their salvation.
Wake up your heart!
Wake up your spirit!
Wake up your soul!
