What if the purpose of gathering believers on Sunday is to prepare them for Kingdom deployment on Monday?
Christ did not come to establish competing religious kingdoms.
He proclaimed one Kingdom under one King.
The assignment of the Church, therefore, is not to gather people into denominations, but to disciple, develop and deploy them into every sphere where human life is governed, shaped and transformed.
We were not called merely to build churches full of professionals. We were called to raise Kingdom people capable of transforming nations.
A gifted economist does not necessarily need to become a pastor to serve God. A gifted lawyer does not have to abandon law for ministry. A politician does not automatically enter a “secular” calling. Neither does the scientist, engineer, teacher, entrepreneur, civil servant, artist or technologist.
Denomination has too often divided and confined Christian human capital, teaching generations to see government, enterprise, science, technology, education and national development as territories outside the Kingdom. As a result, we have sometimes invested our finest intellectual capacity in building religious empires while leaving the systems that govern society without sufficient Kingdom influence.
