♻️Environmental Education/Community Building ♻️

We are fortunate to have a good friend of ours and also someone who is passionate and active on the topic of waste management and recycling. Amoah has been having many workshops in busua and its surrounding helping to educate people about waste management and it's only right he shares his passion with our students. He's had three workshop sessions with us and all has been very proactive and interactive.

The importance of this workshop is to create awareness, promote positive habits, respect for nature , prepares future leaders and citizens and supports sustainable development.

🌍What is News Hour Class?🌍

In a world where a lot is happening globally, bringing these informations to our children is important for us as an NGO. News hour is simply an educational program and space for children to be informed about world news and how they impact us. It’s not about overwhelming them with adult news, but helping them understand the world in a guided, thoughtful way.

First, it builds awareness. Children start to realize that events are happening beyond their immediate surroundings locally and globally. This early exposure helps them grow into informed individuals rather than disengaged adults.

It also strengthens critical thinking. When children hear simplified news stories and are encouraged to ask questions (“Why did this happen?” “Is this fair?”), they begin to analyze information instead of just accepting it. This is especially important in an era of misinformation.

Another key benefit is language and communication skills. Listening to news, discussing it, and even expressing their opinions helps expand vocabulary and improves their ability to articulate thoughts clearly.

You will be surprised to know how much information these kids have once you join the class.

We are grateful for all our volunteers and staff for always educating and guiding these students to be thoughtful and change makers in their society.

🖼️ART WORKSHOP- Connecting Bridges🖼️

Some few weeks ago we welcomed and .archer to our center where they drew our students closer to their world of art. This workshop is an introduction to our collaboration and space to inspire these children. We are privileged to have had this session and more to come in the future 💛

🏡💛Volunteer Room Tour 🏡💛

Thanks to & our volunteers from Portugal for making this detail video. Our new volunteer rooms are built with so much love and handwork. Each room is self contain with a nice and comfy bathroom and on top of that great view from the inside.
It's important for us to provide comfortable and serene environment to our volunteers so they can volunteer effectively and have a positive impact.

🏊🏾Update On Our Swimming Classes🏊🏾

It's always refreshing taking our students to the pool for their swimming classes. Since we embarked on this initiative to make sure kids in Busua can learn how to swim through our program, we have recorded 15 advanced students and many more at the stage of intermediate and beginners. Gradually we are seeing a lot of growth in numbers and grateful for the support of our team and volunteers helping us everyday.

As the saying goes, one step at a time 💪🏽

For a couple of days now we have had the opportunity to meet some cool people from Portugal and UK supporting our programs in areas of education and construction. On top of that they have been also exploring Ghana and living by our ways and vibes 🤗

As part of our educational collaboration efforts this year, we had the opportunity to partner with NGO to engage some of the students here about menstrual education and some were given reusable pads. Thanks for the support and enlightenment💛

🤹🏽‍♀️🌱Circus Education with Madam Daphne🤹🏽‍♀️🌱

We are privileged to have Daphne from Germany to introduce circus education to the children in our program.
From Daphne's own words, I use circus education to bring people into relation with their own bodies and with each other.
The exercises require and promote communication, consideration, coordination and cooperation. In the process of playing together, we develop mutual care, trust in ourselves and each other, and a sense of the great things we can achieve when we work together.
