Mr Ernest Abileo Anabire, the District Director for DSW, Mamprugu-Moagduri, educated community members that Child Marriage is a serious child rights violation in the Mamprugu-Moagduri district. Mr Anabire's words reminded everyone that protecting children’s rights is a shared responsibility — one that strengthens families, schools, and communities alike.

Young, confident, intelligent & articulate — our MC for the Child Rights Festival embodied the spirit of leadership we dream of for every young person.

At , we believe in putting children’s voices before communities & duty bearers. Through their own eyes, they share stories & experiences that carry unmatched meaning for their generation — and there’s truly no substitute!

AfriKids Ghana continue to break barriers, stereotypes and exclusion with our One Million Smiles programme! At the Child Rights Festival in Mamprugu-Moagduri, one of our brilliant female pupils led the opening prayer in Arabic🙏 — a powerful reminder that children’s voices matter and must be heard and that girls are as equaly important as boys.

International Day of Education 2026
On Saturday, we at AfriKids Ghana joined the world in celebrating the power of education to transform lives and communities. At AfriKids Ghana, we believe every child deserves the chance to learn, thrive, and dream — no matter their background. Our work in northern Ghana has contributed to the under-listed outcomes in education:
1. Keeping Children in School: Tackled barriers like child labour and early marriage, enabling thousands of vulnerable children to continue their education.
2. Improving School Infrastructure: Provided furniture, washrooms, teaching resources, and in-service teacher training, while rewarding teaching excellence.
3. Strengthening School Governance: Offered match funding to PTAs and SMCs, empowering them to make critical investments that reduce dropout risks.
4. Inclusive Education: Trained teachers and community volunteers to deliver child-friendly, inclusive learning environments.
5. Community Partnerships: Partnered with families and local leaders to champion every child’s right to education.
6. Child Advocacy:
By promoting inclusive and equitable quality education, we are advancing SDG 4 and building stronger, more resilient communities in Northern Ghana.

Together with you, we can ensure that no child is left behind.
Join us in celebrating education as the key to unlocking brighter futures!

Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow is more than a slogan—it’s the oxygen of Afrikids.

From Binduri to Mamprugu Moagduri, we are channeling over half of our budget into one mission: preparing tomorrow’s leaders today. Because for us, education isn’t charity—it’s the foundation of Ghana’s future, and no child should ever be left behind.

For the donour community, this is your invitation to stand with an organization that is:
- Redefining education in Ghana by reaching children in underserved communities with quality learning
- Investing in leadership development so young people grow into innovators, entrepreneurs, climatw change actors and changemakers

Afrikids is not just part of the education sector, we are shaping it

Every child we empower today is a future leader who will carry Ghana forward tomorrow.

Join us in making Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow a lived reality. Together, we can ensure Ghana’s next generation rises strong, confident, and unstoppable.
