The organization is made up of high school and university students who share a similar passion which is, to assist in the promotion of quality education in Ghana.We are currently based in Bekwai which in the Ashanti region, but we hope to spread our wings all over Ghana and Africa to promote education.

Our Story

A Cry Of The African Child (COTAC) is a non-profit organization in Ghana, West Africa with members in the United States and in Ghana. We are currently registered. The organization is made up of high school and university students who share a similar passion which is, to assist in the promotion of quality education in Ghana.We are currently based in Bekwai which in the Ashanti region, but we hope to spread our wings all over Ghana and Africa to promote education.

Our main goal as an organization is to be the mouth piece of child education and welfare through our engagement with the major stakeholders of the education society. Through this we have been organizing projects such as COTAC BE MY SANTA, FREE SUMMER VACATION CLASSES, COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECTS, YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM among others to assist in the development of children in Ghana. Through projects such as our COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECTS, we been able to assist in educating many parents in most rural communities such as pepedan, nebehi, kwabeteso, weaso and other neighbouring villages our the importance of child education to the development of their community.

We currently working on rolling vibrant policies and projects which will inculcate major targets of agenda 2030 of the SDG this year. We aim to achieve this through; engaging in empirical research on major issues embedded in the Sustainable Development Goals, bringing on board resource persons and engaging on the major problem which affects child education and welfare in Ghana.

We praying on everyone out there to share and support our projects in order to reach out to many people out there. These and many other projects are what is carried out by the entire COTAC team.
