Anum came alive this Easter as the MP for Asuogyaman and the the Deputy Finance Minister, Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem led the “Green Walk” alongside the Omanhene, HRM Akusiaku Brempong Kumi Sasraku VIII, sub-chiefs, queen mothers, and hundreds of residents for a spirited community walk through the principal streets of the town.
The walk, filled with music and drumming, with participants dressed in green to symbolize growth, unity, and change—was more than a festive parade; it was a show of solidarity, health awareness, and a renewed commitment to the development of Anum.

The second Akwasidae Festival of 2026 was held on 15th March 2026 at the Omanhene’s Palace in Anum, under the leadership of the Anumhene, HRM Akusiaku Brempong Kumi Sasraku VIII. Celebrated every six weeks, the sacred festival is an important part of the Anum calendar, set aside to honour the ancestors and strengthen the unity and spirit of the Anum State.

On Monday 16th February 2026, the Paramount Chief of the Anum Traditional Area, HRM Akusiaku Brempong Kumi Sasraku VIII, accompanied by a delegation of chiefs and elders, visited the Minister of Finance and the Deputy Minister of Finance.
The visit offered an opportunity to talk about Anum’s development needs, such as improving jobs and business opportunities, fixing roads and other facilities, improving social services, and creating lasting opportunities for the youth and the community.

On Saturday 14th February 2026, the Anum Traditional Council in collaboration with Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited officially launched the 2026 Anum Easter Festival, a bold step to revive, rebrand, and reposition our Easter as a premier cultural and tourism event. The launch featured rich cultural displays, inspiring messages, and a call to our youth and diaspora to take ownership and contribute to Anum’s growth.
This year’s festival will spotlight our heritage, empower the youth, support local businesses, and strengthen community unity through culture, sports, health outreach, education, and entertainment.

Anum Football Club's debut season in the South Dayi District FA Division Three League is really taking off!
After three games, they've accumulated 4 points with 1 win, 1 draw, and 1 loss.

Their campaign got off to a tough start with a loss to African Stars, but they bounced back with a solid 1-0 away win against Peki United, showcasing their determination.

The team then settled for a home draw against Young Stars, proving they're not backing down.
Currently, Anum FC sits comfortably in 3rd place on the league log, having scored 5 goals and conceded 5.

Up next, they'll face Soccer Calculators - a great opportunity to keep the momentum going!
