On 22 June 2026, Kwa Foundation donated 800 fruit seedlings to the Wassa East District Assembly for distribution to basic schools across the district. The seedlings were intended to be planted on school campuses to promote environmental sustainability and provide long-term educational and nutritional benefits.
The donation was made under the Foundation's flagship EZEKIEL 47:12 INITIATIVE, which seeks to promote the planting of fruit trees throughout Ghana and, ultimately, across Africa. The initiative aims to combat climate change by increasing tree cover while making nutritious fruits more accessible and affordable to improve public health.
The exercise also formed part of Kwa Foundation's contribution toward the upcoming Green Ghana Day celebration, reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable community development.
The donated seedlings included soursop, sweetsop, guava, African star apple, and velvet tamarind (Dialium guineense), locally known as "Yooyi".
