Joy2theWorld Ending Poverty Through Education Joy2theWorld is a small NGO determined to make a difference in Ghana, West Africa. or the U.K. The giver is the receiver.

We have been a presence in Ghana since 2007 providing over 1,000 micro loans to women entrepreneurs, over 275 scholarships to children, over 150 cancer prevention breast exams and many other programs within this community of Medie. We drilled a clean water borehole that serves over 600 families. We found that fighting an illiteracy rate of over 60% is the only means to end poverty here. We are now focused on educating the children so that they can make their own choices and changes for Ghana in their future. At the same time, we have partnered with Rotary International and other Rotary Clubs (local and U.S.) organizations to fight the environmental issues that plague the village of Medie. Where small children have wandered over toxic waste sites, searching for items to sell, a new and clean environment will exist. We are in search of an educational partner, a University or teaching center in the U.S. to help us build a school suitable for 500 students plus a Professional Development Center for teachers in rural Ghana. Daily we prove that all of us, no matter how small or large, can make a huge difference globally. This change ultimately affects all of us.

Our School President stepped up in a special way, taking some of our students out to get essential school supplies helping them prepare for the term with confidence and a smile.
We’re grateful for this thoughtful gesture and the spirit of care, leadership, and community it represents. ✨
