*LET'S UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING WORDS;*
1. Guarantor
2. Surety
3. Referee
The Difference between a Guarantor, a Surety & a Referee (This can Save you Millions)
Stop signing documents for people when you don’t even know what you are becoming.
Because these three are NOT the same and one mistake can put you in serious debt.
Let’s break it down clearly
1. *GUARANTOR*
You’re saying:
“If this person refuses to pay AFTER the lender has tried everything… I will pay.”
You are the last line of payment.
But don’t be deceived last line still gets called.
2. *SURETY*
This one is a trap many don’t understand.
You’re saying:
“If this person misses payment, come to me immediately.”
No waiting.
No chasing the borrower.
You are equally responsible from day one.
3. *REFEREE*
This one is safe.
You’re only saying:
“Yes, I know this person and they are of good character.”
That’s it.
No money involved. No liability. No stress.
Now read this carefully
Many people today are paying debts they never collected simply because they didn’t understand what they signed.
That “just help me sign” can become
years of financial burden, broken friendships and endless pressure
Next time if anyone calls you to sign a document or stand for him, ask him/her, as WHAT exactly?
*Because:*
1. *Guarantor* = Future payer
2. *Surety* = Immediate payer
3. *Referee* = Just character witness
Be wise.
Read before you sign.
Don’t let emotions sign documents your pocket cannot handle.
Thank you!
