CLOTHE A CHILD PROJECT
Whenever I see children of school-going age loitering about, I become very emotional. When I see others who have the opportunity to attend school but face challenges, it reminds me of my primary and junior high school days. I grew up in Agona Nkum, a town in the Agona West District of the Central Region, Ghana.
I often think about how to make education fun and exciting for children who face challenges. The Odomu Teens Club, in partnership with E&K Fashion, brought that fun and excitement to 27 learners from six schools in Agona Nkum and Odomu.
On 1st April, as these pupils came for their report cards, they went home with new uniforms and footwear. The most important thing for us was the confidence with which these learners left, wearing their new uniforms.
Giving back requires a heart of gratitude. My hometown will always be in my thoughts, and I will always return to impact lives.
