The **Nkoko Nkitinkiti (Poultry) Project**, a flagship agricultural intervention initiated by the President of the Republic of Ghana, has officially been rolled out in the Municipality. Under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), the Municipal Department of Agriculture has begun the distribution of poultry inputs and the sensitization of selected beneficiaries to ensure effective implementation of the project.

The initiative is designed to empower citizens—particularly the youth, women, and small-scale farmers—by promoting household and community-level poultry production. It seeks to boost local poultry output, reduce dependence on imported poultry products, strengthen food and nutrition security, and create sustainable sources of income for beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries are also being educated on best poultry management practices, biosecurity measures, and basic record-keeping to enhance productivity and ensure the long-term success of the project. Residents are therefore encouraged to actively participate and take full advantage of this government intervention, as it presents a significant opportunity to improve livelihoods, stimulate local economic growth, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
