He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

If you pursue good things, you will generally find good things. Good things happen to good people. The choice is simple and it is ours. What will you choose? Do what you know is right.

*Prayer*

Merciful and righteous God! I pray that You give me the foresight and strength to do what I know is right. I thank you for instilling a will inside of me to pursue wisdom and truth, as You have done for generations of Christians before me. Forgive me for the sins and wrong choices that I have made, and I wish with all my heart to forgive those that have wronged me. I love You, my Father in heaven, hallowed be Your holy name. Amen.

*Topic: Humble Yourself In The Side. Of The Lord*
Text: James 4:10

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Be humble. Seems so obvious but is so difficult. The ego in humans is so powerful, thinking that each of us deserves good. Deserves? We deserve nothing! God has graciously granted us the possibility to love and understand him. How often do we wait and expect God to come to us? Are we so arrogant? "Knock and the door shall be opened for you." Leave everything else to God.

*Prayer*

Merciful and loving God, please illuminate a humble path that You would see as righteous. My worldly knowledge is nothing, but I ask that You forgive my doubts and arrogance. Thank you for trying to help all of humanity by sending a messenger that we could understand in the form of Your son, Jesus Christ. It is in His holy name that we pray. Amen.

*Topic: Walk In The Spirit*
Text: Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

I would love to be on a beach eating a steak right now. I would love to fly in private jets and be a powerful leader. I would love to live forever and never be judged for my actions on earth. Wouldn't you? These temptations are so difficult to resist, but so meaningless in the grand scheme of things: resist them, learn, spread love, and leave everything else to God.

*Prayer*

To the one true God, I thank you for giving me the abilities to think, feel, and love. I will do all that I can to live by the Holy Spirit and let the Spirit flow through me and unto others. I pray that You aid me in times when I am weak, giving into the secular pleasures that this world offers. Through faithful practice and with Your love, I know that all things are possible, my Lord. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

*Topic: He Hath Shewed Thee O Man What Is Good*
Text: Micah 6:8

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Does God ask too much of us? At times it may seem impossible to live the way that He wants us to, but is it really so difficult to love our neighbors? To act justly? To be humble? Stop and think about which one is actually more difficult: living as God intends, with faith, mercy, and love, or a life without them.

*Prayer*

Forgive me, O Lord, for not always living in a way that is meaningful in Your eyes. Help us to walk humbly by Your side, pick us up when we fall, and do the same to others on their journey. I will live as You command and leave everything else to You, my God. I ask all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.

*Topic: In Thee O Lord Do I Put My Trust*
Text: Psalm 31:1

In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Trust in God can never lead to shame – that is a definite. If anything, trusting in God and choosing to be in line with his guidance will help us avoid a great deal of self-inflicted shame. As God's children, righteous in Christ Jesus, we can walk with assurance because our Father has ordered our steps. This gives us the strength to endure anything that comes our way.

*Prayer*

Dear God, I have put all my trust in you and I am at rest because I know that you always have my best concerns at heart. I am saved because of your love; there is nothing on this earth that can shake my salvation. In times where my trust is tested, Lord I ask that you help me remain fixed on you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

*TOPIC:: FEAR NOT I BRING YOU GOOD TIDINGS*
Text: Luke 2:10

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

The birth of Jesus, despite where it happened, was the start of something great. The Savior had finally come to the earth. The fulfillment of the prophecies of the old had begun. The restoration of mankind was about to begin. We, children of God, would not be where we are if Christ had not come to earth. This is why we celebrate and we can be thankful in every situation, because of the salvation we received.

*Prayer*

Dear God, I am so thankful for the fact that I am eternally Yours. Lord, I thank you for what Your son, Jesus Christ, did for me. I would not be able to call You my Father if it weren't for Christ. Thank you, Lord, for this eternal gift and the heavenly inheritance I can be confident in. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

*Topic: Nothing Separate Us From The Love Of God*
Text: Romans 8: 38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is absolutely nothing that can separate us from the love of God, and it is written clearly in these verses. No matter how the devil may try to pry us from the Father's hands, He can never come close to it. There is no man, no force, no devil that can separate us from the love of God. When we wander, God will always call out to us. When we return, He embraces us wholeheartedly. Dear Christian, embrace the fact that God's love is always with you and nothing will ever change that.

*Prayer*

Dear God, I thank you for the eternal nature of Your love for me. Lord, there are many forces that try to pull me away from You but I have decided not to budge. Thank you for assuring me, time and time again, Lord, that Your love is never going anywhere. It is with me, forever. Thank you, Father. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

*Topic: Let Us Not Therefore Judge One Another*
Text: Romans 14:13

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Part of this Christian life is refusing to judge others. Judging and condemning people who happen to be struggling with sin or iniquity will not profit you in any way. If anything, you are countering the grace that was given to you so freely. As you were given, you were instructed to give. Be gracious to all people in your life. If you have to correct, let it be done in love, not hate, judgment or condemnation. The goal should be to point people to Christ, not away from Him.

*Prayer*

Dear God, I ask that You will help me to refrain from oppressing people through judgement or condemnation. Lord, I pray that my words and actions will never serve as a stumbling block in another person's life. May my decisions be influenced by Your wisdom and Your love, Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

*Topic: I Will Say Of The LORD, He Is My Refuge*
Text: Psalms 91:2

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

We should never forget that only God can be our refuge; He is our place of rest and security. There is no one we can put our trust in completely beside God. Only God has promised to keep us from the wiles of the enemy and see us through the challenges and temptations of life.

*Prayer*

Dear God, I am grateful that I can find my rest in You. There is no one else and nothing else that can give me peace and protect me, the way You do, Father. Thank you for always being faithful in Your promises, Lord. I have every reason to put my trust in You and I will never forget that. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
