Yesterday was a deeply difficult day for all of us at Anntobre Foundation.
We watched the news in disbelief, hoping it wasnโt the same ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ we had recently engaged with. Sadly, it was.
This is more than a location to us; it is a community filled with young people we have learned from, grown alongside, and worked with.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragic incident. We extend our deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and all impacted.
This school holds special significance as the site of our pilot Half A Bridge Project under the RiseRoots Initiative, a space where meaningful conversations around mutual respect, emotional intelligence, and coexistence took place. To see it now associated with such a tragedy is truly heartbreaking.
This moment reminds us that the wellbeing of the community goes beyond just living. It includes the safety of the spaces where people gather, learn, worship, and grow.
As an organization committed to nurturing healthier, more conscious communities, we stand in solidarity with the entire community, especially the families affected and those receiving care at hospitals.
We mourn with you, we pray with you, and we remain committed to building a future where everyone is not only empowered, but safe.
