My Equality My Wellbeing

My Equality My Wellbeing Woman led organization advancing gender equality, disability inclusion, climate justice, leadership development, and community wellbeing. Keep up with us.

We connect people, organizations, and communities with opportunities, partnerships, and resources for lasting impact. My Equality My Wellbeing (MEMW) was created in response to a strong need for a dedicated platform advocating for the rights and empowerment of women, girls and gender-diverse groups subtly. MEMW emerged from discussions and recommendations at various conferences focused on gender e

quality and women's rights, where founders interacted with thought leaders and activists who shed light on the systemic barriers faced by marginalized women, girls and gender-diverse groups. MEMW is inspired by research on the challenges faced by women, girls and gender-diverse groups in Ghana. The founders, skilled in advocacy and community organizing, seek to amplify their voices and address urgent needs. MEMW champions equality and respect for all, advocating for women, girls and gender-diverse groups' rights while celebrating their societal contributions. The organization tackles gender-based violence and discrimination, empowering women, girls, and gender-diverse groups through advocacy, leadership resources, and strategic partnerships to advance gender equality and social equity. The collective desire to push for equality and respect for all individuals, regardless of gender or background, drove the initiative. WEMW was built on the belief that meaningful progress requires active engagement and collaboration. By fostering an inclusive environment, the organization aims to not only advocate for women's and girls' rights but also to celebrate their diverse contributions to society. Recognizing that systemic change involves more than advocacy alone, WEMW is committed to addressing critical issues such as gender-based violence, discrimination, and unequal access to opportunities. Building on the foundations laid by knowledge gained from conferences and research, the organization actively works towards effecting policy changes, providing resources for leadership development, and forming strategic alliances with like-minded organizations. No One Succeeds Alone.

At MEMW, this is more than a tagline. It is a belief that shapes how we see the world.

Every successful child has someone who encouraged them, protected them, or invested in their future. Every young person who discovers their potential has benefited from guidance, mentorship, opportunity, or support. Every thriving community is built on relationships, partnerships, and people who choose to lift one another up.

Too often, we celebrate individual success without recognizing the networks of support that make it possible. We believe that lasting change happens when communities, families, organizations, leaders, and institutions work together to create opportunities for those who are too often left behind.

This is why MEMW values partnership. Whether advancing opportunities for women and girls, promoting disability inclusion, supporting young people, or strengthening communities, we know that meaningful progress cannot be achieved in isolation.

When we invest in children, we invest in the future. When we support young people, we strengthen tomorrow's leaders. When we create inclusive opportunities, entire communities benefit.

Our work is rooted in a simple belief: everyone deserves the chance to thrive, and no one should have to walk that journey alone.

No One Succeeds Alone.

We believe that building a more equal world benefits everyone.

When women and girls have access to opportunities, communities grow stronger. When persons with disabilities are included, society becomes more equitable. When young people are supported to lead, innovation and progress flourish.

Creating a better future is not about choosing one group over another. It is about recognizing our shared humanity and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and thrive.

At MEMW, we believe that inclusion, respect, dignity, and opportunity are values that strengthen us all.

Because no one succeeds alone.

Change happens when voices come together.

Through dialogue, learning, and collective action, we joined women, community leaders, advocates, and partners in advancing conversations on gender equality, inclusion, and the commitments needed to create a more just and equitable society.

As we reflect on International Women's Day and the Beijing +30 process, we are reminded that progress is built through solidarity, leadership, and a shared commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind.

Together, we continue to build pathways for opportunity, participation, and meaningful change.

We are proud to have received support from the African Women's Development Fund (AWDF) to contribute to activities marking International Women's Day and the Beijing +30 review process.

This support enabled engagement around gender equality, women's leadership, inclusion, and the collective actions needed to advance the rights and wellbeing of women and girls.

As a woman led organization, MEMW remains committed to creating pathways for opportunity, strengthening inclusive leadership, and supporting communities to thrive.

We thank AWDF for its continued investment in women's rights and gender justice movements across Africa.

We are excited to announce upcoming initiatives for the "Empowering Youth for Gender Equality" project, which aims to enhance youth engagement and advocate for gender equality in the Volta and Eastern Regions of Ghana.

In the coming months, we will conduct a series of interactive workshops, both in-person and virtually, targeting over 1,200 youth participants. These workshops will focus on key areas such as education, health, and economic empowerment, providing young individuals with essential skills and knowledge.

Aligned with the Beijing+30 agenda, we will launch community-driven projects designed to raise awareness and involve local leaders. Information sessions and community meetings are expected to engage community members and advocates, fostering dialogue around gender equality and youth participation

Furthermore, we will host training sessions for youth leaders, equipping them with advocacy skills, community organising techniques, and resilience-building strategies. Participants will gain renewed confidence in their capacity to drive change within their communities.

Our goal is to indirectly benefit 4,600 individuals and support them through expanded outreach and ongoing advocacy efforts.

We appreciate the anticipated support from AWDF and look we forward to making a significant impact on gender equality and youth empowerment in the region.
