A week ago, we had an impactful Wikidata workshop with the Effutu community focused on improving references and bridging gender content gaps. 🌍✨
Participants created new items and strengthened existing ones with reliable references, a powerful step toward more inclusive and accurate knowledge.

Celebrate the remarkable Ama Ata Aidoo, a Ghanaian literary giant and trailblazer! Born on March 23, 1942, she made history as the first published female African dramatist with her play The Dilemma of a Ghost in 1965.
Aidoo served as Ghana’s Secretary for Education under Jerry Rawlings and founded the Mbaasem Foundation in 2000 to uplift African women writers. Notably, she won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize in 1992 for her novel Changes.
She passed away on May 31, 2023, leaving an inspiring legacy that continues to resonate.
