We’re Hiring: Office Manager

We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly organized Office Manager to join our team and support the development of a vibrant and supportive community for young people.

The ideal candidate should be friendly, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of efficiently handling daily operations as well as unexpected situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure smooth and efficient office operations
• Welcome and assist visitors professionally
• Organize workflows, correspondence, filing systems, and office resources
• Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings and events
• Monitor office supplies, equipment, and infrastructure needs
• Serve as the primary contact person for daily office activities
• Maintain compliance with office policies and procedures

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years experience in office management
• Strong communication, multitasking, and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and quickly adapt to new systems

Preferred:
• Experience developing internal systems
• Strong computer and online application skills

Over the past week, the Ghana Education Service (GES) sanctioned three Senior High Schools in the Eastern Region for engaging in hooliganism during the recently concluded Eastern Region Super Zonal Sports Competition—an incident that tragically led to a student of Koforidua SECTECH being stabbed.

IHF Ghana commends GES for this decisive action. While we recognize that rivalries in youth sports can help boost energy, atmosphere, and synergy, such rivalries must remain healthy. They should never translate into injuring students from other schools or destroying property to prove toughness. Strength and competitiveness should be demonstrated on the pitch, the court, the quiz room, or in any contest being competed in.

With the increasing cases of hooliganism in our Senior High Schools, IHF Ghana believes that the actions taken by the Ghana Education Service, the Eastern Regional Education Directorate, and the Regional Second Cycle Schools’ Sports Executives will serve as a strong deterrent and help prevent future occurrences.

IHF Ghana remains committed to empowering the youth through sports and will continue to speak out against anything that goes contrary to youth safety, development, and empowerment.
