Changing Lives, One Child at a Time!
Behind every lesson delivered through the Read, Feed and Lead Project in Nkurakan is a story of hope, transformation, and opportunity.
For Harriet Agbo, the program has transformed her son, Joel, a Grade Two pupil. Once less enthusiastic about school, Joel now wakes up eager to learn, attends school willingly, and has shown remarkable improvement in his academic performance and reading skills. According to his mother, he now reads passages and storybooks with confidence and demonstrates a stronger commitment to his education.
Similarly, Janet Akuffo has witnessed a life-changing transformation in her daughter, Rosalinda, a Grade Three pupil. Rosalinda's school attendance, academic performance, and reading ability have improved significantly. Beyond academics, she has become more disciplined, responsible, respectful, and confident in interacting with others. Her mother describes the programme as an opportunity that has helped her daughter believe in herself and embrace learning with enthusiasm.
These inspiring testimonies are a powerful reminder that when children are provided with quality learning support, nutritious meals, mentorship, and a safe environment to grow, they thrive.
OVC Connexions Ghana remains grateful to the KGL Foundation for making these transformations possible and for investing in the future of vulnerable children in Nkurakan.
Together, we are not only improving literacy and numeracy—we are building confidence, nurturing potential, and creating brighter futures.
