This is a Nationwide Educational Project/Campaign (later to become international). It is an initiative by some young graduates and undergraduates of various tertiary and second-cycle institutions in Ghana with the prime objective of: “Organizing a good and effective platform through which they can effectively contribute to the control, arrest and total end of the zero percent (0%) score by some st
udents in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) and in the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (W.A.S.S.C.E), especially those in the deprived communities and or rural areas of Ghana by “Raising the Standards” of behavior/morals, reading/learning of these children”. These we do through interactions with the students, by providing and instituting reading clinics by way of community reading/library day, career guidance and counseling session, classroom subject assistance, mini-evangelism, mini football/soccer gala, mini quiz on General Knowledge, mini Bible Quiz, sharing of snacks, mini Award Ceremony for the children who would perform very well on the day. We also make some donations to some selected institutions/orphanages/children's homes. We also help to institute through Community Participation, an Education, Resource and Information Centre (Community Library) in the communities where we hold our events. Our MOTTO is: “Inspired to Succeed”. The various programmes as stated above help these young graduates and undergraduates to provide some form of inspiration to their younger colleagues so as to propel them to always be disciplined, hardworking and determined to always achieve/attain higher laurels in life. Our CAPTION is: “Education for a Lifetime.” (Street Library/Community Reading Programme)
This is a lifetime experience for any child/all children that would participate in any of our programmes/activities. This is because though it would mainly be a reading clinic, the various fun-packed activities that are done alongside the reading, help to make the day a very wonderful experience for the children thus always “Making Reading/Learning Fun and an Enjoyable Experience” which would directly positively impact on their performance in their various schools and ultimately make a positive impact on their performance and results in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) and the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (W.A.S.S.S.C.E).
