𝗬𝗜𝗡 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Growing up, I have always believed that education is the key to breaking limitations, but I have also known that the path is never easy. As a first-generation student, financial challenges have often threatened to make me abandon my dreams. Then came a turning point when Youth in Need Ghana Foundation stepped in.

𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐛𝐚, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟; 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝

Today, through grace and perseverance, I am growing academically, socially, and professionally. I am currently serving as President of the Students Legal Society UEW, Intern with the International Model United Nations, Chief Justice of the Civic Education Club UEW, Trainee Presenter and Production Assistant at Radio Windy Bay 98.3 FM, and the First Speaker of the Parliament of the Faculty of Social Science Education UEW.

One of the significant challenges adolescents with disabilities face is gender-based violence. As part of Maastricht University's course on public health in international context, our Executive Director (Prof. Charles A. Adjei) led young students in designing interventions aimed at addressing the issues. Youth In Need Ghana Foundation team will engage relevant stakeholders, including adolescents with disabilities in Ghana to test the feasibility and applicability of these interventions in the Ghanaian context.

𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 @ 𝐎𝐤𝐥𝐮 𝐊𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚
Our Medcare Model, which provides free medical treatment to children and young people in underserved communities, has been expanded to include residents of Oklu Kwanta, near Kasoa. The partnership cooperation between the Youth In Need Ghana Foundation and Christian Community Medical Center ensures that young people have FREE access to medical care without financial barriers.

𝗨𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿
On our way to deliver wheelchairs to some children with disabilities, we came across Jones (not his real name) crawling down the street. We inquired if that was how he moves around the community, and everyone confirmed that he had been crawling for years. We then handed him one wheelchair, and the entire town was filled with joy.. 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿. We can imagine how happy his family will be. Indeed, every wheelchair donated to Youth In Need Ghana Foundation comes with a story. Co-creation of sexual and reproductive health Intervention with University students.

John (not his real name) has spent many years indoor due to mobility difficulty. He resides on top of a hill in Central Region, and according to John's mum, he is completely detached from his socio-cultural environment.

When our team arrived with his wheelchair, John couldn't contain his excitement and grabbed one of the team members firmly. Mum claims we are the only strangers John has seen besides her and one other sibling.

Indeed, every wheelchair donated to Youth In Need Ghana Foundation comes with a unique story.
