ZEIN GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT TRUST JOINS WORLD WATER DAY 2025 CELEBRATION

As we celebrate World Water Day 2025, Zein Global Development Trust is taking part in the celebration to serve as a strong reminder of the vital role water plays in sustaining life, dignity, and prosperity.

Access to water is a human right. Yet, 2.2 billion live without safely managed drinking water services, with devastating impacts for their lives and wider society. A well-managed water cycle underpins progress across the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly in relation to hunger, gender equity, health, education, livelihoods, sustainability and ecosystems.

Water is also at the heart of adaptation to climate change, serving as the crucial link between the climate system, human society and the environment. Without proper water governance, there is likely to be increased competition for water between sectors and an escalation of water crises of various kinds, triggering emergencies in a range of water-dependent sectors.

At Zein Global Development Trust, we recognize the disproportionate impact of water scarcity and pollution on vulnerable communities worldwide that affects Global Business and Trade. Zein Global Development Trust is committed to supporting initiatives that:

1. Improves access to safe, affordable, and sustainable water
2. Promotes water conservation and efficient use

DR. ABU ZEIN JOINS GHANA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The Chairman of the Zein Global Development Trust, Ambassador Dr. Abu Zein has join the people of Ghana in celebrating its momentous independence day occasion. According to Ambassador Zein, the occasion gives credence to honouring the bravery, resilience, and determination of Ghana's founding fathers, who fought tirelessly for independence and self-governance.

We also pay tribute to the visionaries, freedom fighters, and patriots who fought indefatigably for our independence and their sacrifice paved the way for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today Mr. Zein added.

Dr. Abu Zein has further underscored that “as we reflect on Ghana's rich history and cultural heritage, we also acknowledge the country's progress and achievements over the years which marks celebration of the Ghanaian spirit, which embodies warmth, hospitality, and a strong sense of community and patriotism. As we celebrate this milestones, we acknowledge the progress we have made as a nation. Indeed, we have built a strong democracy, a progressively vibrant economy, and a rich cultural heritage”.

He has however, also recognize the challenges we still face as a nation and therefore called on the Government and People of Ghana and all development partners to join hands and continue to work together to address poverty, inequality, and social injustice. This will ensure we strive to build a more inclusive and equitable society, where every Ghanaian has access to opportunities and resources.

As we move forward, let us draw inspiration from our national motto: "Freedom and Justice." Let us recommit ourselves to the values of unity, solidarity, and collective responsibility, Ambassador Abu Zein has stated.
