By doing so, we seek to empower both our members and the students they serve, ensuring that students receive the best possible advice, support, and opportunities in their pursuit of international education. With a strong focus on consumer protection, GAIEC also works diligently to safeguard the interests of students and their families by addressing grievances and promoting ethical conduct among member companies. Strengthening partnerships, creating opportunities, and advancing international education in Ghana.

GAIEC was pleased to participate in a productive dinner engagement with the Austrade team, including the visiting Trade Commissioner and Ms. Selasi Amenyeawu, Business Development Manager for Education, Ghana and West Africa.

The meeting brought together GAIEC members, school counsellors, and key stakeholders in international education for meaningful discussions on collaboration, student mobility, and strengthening Ghana–Australia education ties.

We appreciate Austrade for facilitating this valuable engagement and look forward to deeper partnerships that create more opportunities for students and education professionals across the region.

Not everyone offering study abroad guidance operates with the right standards.

Choosing the right education consultant goes beyond promises and advertisements. Students and parents deserve transparency, ethical guidance, accountability, and verified support throughout the study abroad process.

A credible education consultant should demonstrate: • Ethical standards
• Verifiable partnerships and processes
• Student-first guidance
• Professional accountability

At GAIEC, we remain committed to promoting responsible and ethical international education practices in Ghana while encouraging students to make informed decisions before engaging any consultant or agency.

The future of every student matters, and so does the quality of guidance they receive.

Global standards are changing, and the international education industry is being called to a higher level of accountability.

Canada’s latest reforms on immigration consultant regulations highlight a growing global focus on compliance, transparency, and ethical student support.

For agencies, this is a reminder that credibility, proper guidance, and professional standards matter more than ever.

We continue to advocate for ethical practices and responsible international education services in Ghana.

The future belongs to agencies that are informed, compliant, and student focused.
