Oboadaka Presby Basic School Celebrates Excellence

"No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted."

The 2025/2026 academic year came to a memorable close as Oboadaka Presbyterian Basic School held its end-of-term and awards ceremony to celebrate academic excellence and officially usher learners into the next stage of their educational journey.

The colourful event featured a variety of exciting performances, including drama, poetry recitals, choreography, cultural displays, and other entertaining presentations by the pupils, making the occasion one to remember for parents, teachers, and invited guests.

In support of the school's efforts to reward hard work and excellence, the OMJ Foundation, through its Founder Mr Osei Mensah Joseph (OMJ), donated books and stationery items to complement the prizes presented to outstanding learners. The awards recognised the top three pupils in each class from Basic 1 to Basic 6 and other distinguished awards, encouraging them to continue striving for academic success.

Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, Mr Dan Ntim said:

«"This is our little contribution to the inspiring academic stories being written today. Although we received the invitation at short notice, we felt it was important to encourage and motivate these brilliant learners to aim even higher."»

The Foundation's delegation through Mr Asamoah Ebenezer, the PTA Chairman, presented the awards to the learners. He later led the learners to appreciate the Foundation and its leader for the kind gesture.

Receiving the donation, the Headmaster expressed sincere appreciation to the OMJ Foundation for supporting the school's vision of promoting excellence through education. Parents also commended the gesture, describing it as a meaningful source of encouragement for the pupils.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Oboadaka community, traditional and community leaders, parents, teachers, and other invited guests, all of whom joined in celebrating the achievements of the learners and wishing them continued success.

Congratulations to all the award recipients. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep aiming for excellence!

Promise Delivered: OMJ Foundation Donates 40 Plastic Chairs to Diaspora Girls SHS

The Founder of the OMJ Foundation, Osei Mensah Joseph (OMJ), has fulfilled his promise to donate 40 plastic chairs to Diaspora Girls Senior High School - Obodan, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to supporting education and community development.

The donation forms part of Mr Osei's "Thank You God Tour", a special thanksgiving initiative he embarks upon throughout 2026 to commemorate his 40th birthday. As part of the tour, Mr Osei and members of the OMJ Foundation have been worshipping with churches across the Akuapem South Municipality, expressing gratitude to God for His protection, guidance, and blessings over the years.

Held mainly on weekends, the initiative sees a different church selected for each visit, where prayers are offered for Mr Osei, his team, and the OMJ Foundation. The visits also serve as an opportunity to give thanks to God for past successes while seeking His continued favour for the future.

In a thanksgiving service organised by Diaspora Girls Senior High School, which coincided with the Foundation's itinerary, the school appealed for support to purchase chairs for church services and other school gatherings. In response, Mr Osei pledged to donate 40 plastic chairs.

True to his word, the pledge has now been fulfilled with the presentation of the chairs to the school.

Receiving the donation, the Headmistress, on behalf of the management, staff, and students of Diaspora Girls Senior High School, expressed profound appreciation to Mr Osei Mensah Joseph and the OMJ Foundation for the generous gesture. She noted that the chairs would greatly enhance the school's worship activities and other important events, while commending the Foundation for its continued commitment to impacting lives and supporting institutions within the municipality.

The donation further reflects the OMJ Foundation's mission of giving back to society through practical interventions that promote education, faith, youth empowerment, and community development.

KONKONURU, TABANKRO RECEIVE BRAND NEW SETS OF JERSEYS FOR GRAND FINALE SHOWPIECE

Ahead of the Grand Finale of the OMJ SoccerFest–Akuapem South, Ahwerase 2026, Founder and CEO of the OMJ Foundation, Mr. Osei Mensah Joseph (OMJ), presented two specially branded sets of jerseys to finalists Konkonuru and Tabankro in recognition of their outstanding performances.

In presenting the jerseys, OMJ congratulated both teams on reaching the championship match after days of intense competition.

He commended Tabankro for an impressive debut campaign, noting that they won Zone 7 in the Qualifiers before making a strong run to the final. He praised their determination and discipline, and wished them success in their biggest match yet.

He also lauded Konkonuru, the tournament’s most successful side, for their remarkable comeback after last year’s quarter-final exit. Drawn into the challenging “Zone of Death,” they topped Zone 2 in the Qualifiers and advanced to the final unbeaten in five matches. OMJ praised their resilience and championship spirit, and wished them well.

The branded jerseys were used by both teams in the grand finale to add colour and prestige to the occasion, reflecting the OMJ Foundation’s commitment to community football and excellence.

ISAAC GYAN RECLAIMS THE GOLDEN GLOVES!

Champions are built on great defenders, but title-winning teams are inspired by exceptional goalkeepers. For Konkonuru, that man was Isaac Gyan.

The dependable shot-stopper produced a phenomenal campaign at the OMJ SoccerFest – Akuapem South, Ahwerase 2026, conceding just 2 goals in 6 matches on his way to winning the Golden Gloves Award.

With four clean sheets and only two goals conceded throughout the tournament, Isaac Gyan stood tall whenever his team needed him. His calmness under pressure, commanding presence in the penalty area, excellent reflexes, confident handling, and timely saves gave Konkonuru the platform to capture their third OMJ SoccerFest title.

This achievement is even more remarkable because it marks his second Golden Gloves Award, having first won the same honour in the maiden edition of the competition. It is a testament to his consistency, resilience, and enduring quality between the posts.

Congratulations to Isaac Gyan, a goalkeeper whose brilliance continues to inspire confidence and whose performances have earned him a deserved place among the finest players in OMJ SoccerFest history.
