Ms. Isabella Tetteh Ahinakwa is a communications and media professional with experience in health, climate change, and higher education. She began her career with the Parliament of Ghana, supporting the Women and Children Committee and the Youth and Sports Committee, where she gained practical experience in stakeholder engagement.
In 2019, she joined the Association of African Universities (AAU) as a volunteer and has steadily grown into leadership roles within the institution. She is currently the Deputy TV Manager at the TV unit of the organization, and a Project Officer, supporting the planning and delivery of media content and programmes that highlight higher education and development issues across Africa. She also serves as a Communications Officer on selected AAU projects, contributing to outreach, visibility, and partner engagement.
Ms. Ahinakwa is skilled in creating clear and engaging communication products for different audiences and platforms. Her strengths include writing and editing, hosting and presenting, video editing, graphic design, and producing visual content such as whiteboard and 2D animations. She is committed to using media and storytelling to make important information easy to understand and meaningful to the public, especially in areas such as public health, research and innovation, climate change and resilience, and quality assurance in higher education.
