At the DTI Jobs & Opportunities Fair 2025, we had the honour of presenting a copy of the Ghana Youth Barometer Report 2024 to the Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment.

The youth-led report highlights the priorities, challenges, and aspirations of young people across Ghana concerning their education and future, offering evidence-based insights to inform inclusive policy and action. We were pleased to engage the Minister in a meaningful discussion on how the findings can shape more responsive youth employment strategies and drive impactful change for Ghana’s next generation.

Today marks 10 years of World Youth Skills Day! 🎉

As AI reshapes how we live, learn, and work, 86% of students say they don’t feel adequately prepared for an AI-enabled workplace. Even more alarming, 90% of adolescent girls and young women in low-income countries remain offline.

This year’s theme, “Youth Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills,” is a powerful call to action. At YOTA, we believe digital inclusion and AI literacy aren’t luxuries, they are essentials for building a future that’s just, inclusive, and sustainable.

Let’s invest in skills. Let’s invest in youth.

“Do things that are uncomfortable. That’s how you learn soft skills. Go to networking events by yourself. It’s not just about learning a hard skill, but also learning how to relate with people. That is how you secure jobs.”
