To commemorate the International Day of Democracy, we are amplifying the call from the Citizens Platform on Constitutional Reforms for a constitutional reform process that puts citizens at the centre.

Because meaningful constitutional reform must not only change the rules, it must strengthen citizens’ ownership of the democratic process.

Today, as the world marks the International Day of Democracy, the Citizens’ Platform on Constitutional Reform is making a case for a constitutional reform process that puts citizens at the center.

The question is not only what Ghana changes in the Constitution, but how those changes are made and whose voices shape them.

WOMEN, MEN AND VIOLENT EXTREMISM: Understanding and Responses and Resilience Building

Violent is often discussed mainly as a security challenge. Yet behind the security concerns are communities, women and men whose experiences of vulnerability, conflict and resilience can be very different.

Join STAR-Ghana Foundation, in collaboration with West Africa Centre for Counter-Extremism and Foundation for Security and Development in Africa (FOSDA), for a webinar exploring what research tells us about the motivations that influence women’s and men’s acceptance, support or participation in violent extremist organisation ( ) activities.

The conversation will also examine how shapes and resilience, and what this means for designing more responsive approaches to preventing violent extremism.
