Vulnerable Aid Organization

Vulnerable Aid Organization the organization seeks to improve the lives of the vulnerable Anything, action or activity that would create a bleak future for them should be eliminated.

Name and Background
Vulnerable Aid Organization is a community service organization which was formed by a Ghanaian volunteer to help minimize the plight of vulnerable people in society. The organization is aimed to promoting social change, empowerment and liberation of people especially persons with disability to enhance their well being. There is no doubt that children who are impaired in various

ways need to be treated fairly to ensure their survival and development in this country. Therefore, the exploitation, discrimination and stigmatization of children with disabilities in Ghana which have undoubtedly affected their education, health and socio-economic wellbeing require greater attention from all stakeholders. It is against this background that the organization is formed to educate and provide assistance to help minimize the problems associated with disability if not completely eradicated.

We are excited to announce that the Vulnerable Aid Organization (VAO) has partnered with the Grundfos Foundation Community Grant Programme to implement a new project titled “Strengthening Community-Based Management for the Sustainability of Rural Water Services.”

This project aims to empower rural communities to effectively manage and sustain their water systems through capacity building, community engagement, and improved accountability mechanisms. By strengthening community-based water management structures, the project will help ensure that rural water facilities remain functional, reliable, and accessible for the people who depend on them.

Through this partnership, VAO will work closely with community members, local leaders, and relevant stakeholders to promote sustainable water governance and improve access to safe and reliable water services.

We are grateful to the Grundfos Foundation - PDJF for their support and commitment to improving water security for vulnerable communities. Together, we look forward to making a meaningful impact and contributing to the long-term sustainability of rural water services.

More Updates and exciting stories from this project are coming soon.

We are delighted to announce the successful commissioning of a three-unit classroom block and a mechanized borehole for the Brewaniase RC Junior High School in the Nkwanta South Municipality.

This milestone marks another step in our commitment to improving access to quality education and safe water for children and communities. The new facilities will provide a conducive learning environment and reliable water supply for both students and teachers.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners whose generous support made this project possible, and to Most Rev. Gabriel A.A Mante, Catholic Bishop of Jasikan, for graciously commissioning the facility.

Together, we are building hope, opportunity, and a better future for every child.

Our team visited Nkwanta South and North municipalities to assess ongoing and completed projects as part of our monitoring and evaluation efforts. The Gender Transformative Change for Women’s Sustainable Livelihoods Project continues to make a meaningful impact on beneficiaries.

Initiatives in rural schools development, menstrual hygiene management, and water sustainability strategies are progressing steadily. However, the construction of a toilet facility at Nyambo Basic School has been temporarily put on hold due to land-related conflicts in Nkwanta. We remain committed to resuming and completing the project once peace is restored.

We encourage all parties to embrace dialogue and reconciliation so that peace can return to Nkwanta, allowing development to thrive.
