Who we are
The Centre for Criminal Policy and Research (CCJPR) is an independent advisory, policy, research and advocacy organization operating within the domain of criminal law and justice in Ghana. CCJPR’s mission is to enhance criminal justice administration in Ghana. In that regard, it seeks to promote the rule of law and compliance with due process rights and fair trial procedures in order to establish an efficient system criminal adjudication within the core tenets of the adversarial ideology. CCJPR thus seeks to contribute to local and national efforts, in line with the country’s international obligation, to support law reform initiatives and the promotion of sound criminal adjudicatory procedures. It focuses on research, training and advisory services and technical cooperation in the domain of crime prevention, criminal law, criminal procedure and criminal justice policy.
