Organization Background
Digital Development Corporation
Committed to closing the digital divide in the community of Lawndale the Digital Development Corporation provides job training, life skills and workforce development services to at risk youth, and ex offenders in the community. The Digital Development Corporation is a grassroots collaboration of educators, business owners, community leaders

, organizations, technology professionals and individuals. The DDC has its origins in deeply rooted social service and community development, stemming from the notable and dedicated efforts, and seasoned experience of its key organizers and supporters. The organization was formed in August of 2001, in an effort to increase the City of Chicago’s, Westside community residents’ awareness of, and access to new technology. The partners pooled local resources in an effort to provide quality instruction in technology usage, maintenance and repair, in addition to applications of technology to organizational planning, management and operations. For almost 10 years, our organization has remained true to our core mission of technology training and workforce development and expanded services to address identified needs in the community such as adult literacy. African Development Crusade (AFRIDEC)
A Development Agency engaged in the activities of creating jobs for the disadvantaged and vulnerable segment in our African society and undertaking charity causes to bring our at-risk compatriots out of the doldrums of poverty. Our broad development ideology is SOCIOCAPITALISM which espouses the development idea of empowering the socially vulnerable and enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of individuals in our society. The organization whose corporate status was statutorily registered at the Registrar General’s Department of Ghana in June 2010 had been in business since 2006 through its Christian Entrepreneurship & Business Development Programs. Under this program, AFRIDEC trains young Christian men and women in entrepreneurship skills development and instilling in them a sense of philanthropy to extend a helping hand to the needy in society. We are currently rolling out projects that empower the jobless with job and employable skills and empowering schools, poor homes, micro & small businesses, orphanages, prisons with ICT
facilities to bridge the digital divide that exist in our communities based on our
ENTREPREPHILANTROPY philosophy. We are also developing markets for African innovations and creations (AFRINNOVATIONS) through our “Markets for African Technological Innovations and Creations” (MATIC) Project. In a period of two years, we have empowered 20 individuals with entrepreneurial skills whose businesses have employed in total of 80 young men and women in ICT works, yoghurt manufacturing and catering services. Notable amongst these developed entrepreneurs are BIOS Solutions, Rich Yoghurt and Uli Catering Services.
