Partners shared reflections from the Tostan Training Center Senegal learning visit, highlighting key lessons and exploring how these can be integrated into our work in Ghana as a collaborative. The meeting also outlined a clear roadmap for the Collaborativeโs next steps, alongside an initial leadership structure to guide this two-year learning journey.
At Young Visionary Leaders Ghana we are proud to be part of this transformative collaborative, one that fosters shared learning, collaboration, and a renewed commitment to empowering communities to lead, champion, and sustain their own development ๐ฑ. We are as well honored to serve as one of the coordinating organizations from the southern sector.
To ensure effective coordination and inclusive decision-making, the Collaborative is guided by a shared leadership structure representing Northern and Southern sector organizations, as well as funders and learning partners.
Key institutions such as School for Life Ghana and AfriKids represent the Northern sector, while Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) and Young Visionary Leaders represent the Southern sector. This structure is further strengthened by the support of partners including Global Fund for Children, and Participatory Development Associates LTD, ensuring a coordinated, collaborative, and learning-driven approach throughout the two-year journey.
Together, with partners across the Northern and Southern sectors, funders, and learning organizations, we are building a future where development is not done for communities but with and by them.
