​In preparation for the upcoming International Youth Diplomacy Conference (IYDC) 2026, the Secretariat —led by the Secretary General Amb. Mohamed Barrie—paid a courtesy visit to the Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs to establish a strategic partnership. Co-hosted by Youth Stand for Human Rights Sierra Leone and IFED Global Ghana, IYDC Freetown 2026 is set to bring together young leaders, diplomats, and policymakers from across Africa and beyond to drive youth leadership, diplomacy, human rights, and sustainable development.

​The meeting proved to be a resounding success! The Minister expressed strong commitment to the conference’s vision, noting its alignment with national priorities for youth empowerment. In an exciting milestone for the team, the Hon. Minister officially accepted the invitation to serve as the Keynote Speaker for the opening ceremony, pledging the Ministry’s full support toward making this landmark event a triumph.
