This is how our Founder spends his free time on weekends. ❤️

While some may spend their weekends relaxing, our Founder, Samuel Dzomeku, spent his time engaging girls in his community—educating them about menstrual health, proper period management, and the different menstrual hygiene products available to them.

Because sometimes, creating change starts with simply showing up, listening, and sharing knowledge.

Young People Leading the Fight Against Period Poverty in Rural Ghana

For millions of girls, a period is a normal part of life. For too many girls in rural Ghana, it is also a reason to miss school, lose confidence, and fall behind.

Many families cannot afford menstrual products, leaving girls to rely on unsafe alternatives or stay home every month. The result is more than missed lessons—it is lost opportunities, diminished self-esteem, and a cycle of inequality that no girl should have to endure.

But change is possible.

At NeedBe Foundation, we believe that no girl’s future should be determined by her period. That is why we are raising a new generation of young leaders who are taking action where it matters most.

Through our Menstrual Hygiene Festival, school outreach programs, and reusable menstrual pad initiatives, young volunteers travel into underserved communities to educate girls, break harmful myths, provide menstrual products, and restore dignity.
