In 2025 alone, 2,331 victims of human trafficking were rescued in Ghana- the highest figure ever recorded and nearly three times the number rescued in 2024. Of these victims, 425 were children.

Just months ago, authorities rescued 113 children during an anti-trafficking operation targeting exploitation networks in Accra. These are not just statistics. These are children whose dreams, education, safety, and future were stolen.

HISTORY MADE - THE NEW PHASE OF WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

The maiden edition of the WomenPowered Global Conference 2026 has successfully come to a close and what an extraordinary gathering it was.

Over two impactful days, the Justice Revived Foundation (JRF), in collaboration with the , brought together legal minds, health professionals, financial experts, advocates, institutions, students, and changemakers under one bold theme: “Empowered Futures: Law, Health, and Economic Justice for Women and Children.”

Together, we confronted critical conversations on:
Justice and protection systems; Mental health and healing from abuse; Economic empowerment and financial independence; Survivor recovery and reintegration
Digital safety and protection.

A major highlight of the Conference was the successful launch of the *WomenPowered Survivor Support Fund* — a bold and solution-oriented step toward providing legal, psychosocial, emergency, and empowerment support for vulnerable and abused women and children.

The outcome of this Conference goes beyond dialogue. It has sparked critical awareness, strengthened multi-sector collaboration, Inspired action-driven advocacy, equipped participants with practical tools, renewed our collective commitment to protecting and empowering women and children.

To every speaker, panelist, partner, sponsor, volunteer, participant, and supporter — thank you.

This conference has indeed rebranded the phase of women empowerment and this is only the beginning!

I spent my morning on ATV GH "Amansan Television" discussing child trafficking and the diverse forms of abuse being perpetrated against children. I am always grateful for opportunities to share knowledge and contribute to conversations that promote the protection and wellbeing of children.
