During the visit, YRO donated essential supplies, including diapers, wipes, toilet paper, washing and bathing soaps, and anti-bacterial liquid drops, aiming to alleviate some of the daily challenges faced by new mothers. These contributions underscore YRO’s comprehensive approach to community support, addressing both tangible needs and fostering emotional well-being.

Yayra Resilience Organization (YRO) Makes a Significant Impact at Akporkple Basic School

Aflao Akporkple, Volta Region - The Yayra Resilience Organization (YRO), a leading Ghanaian NPO, continued its commitment to enhancing village-centric resilience with a successful outreach event at the Akporkple Basic School.

Rooted in its core values, YRO focuses extensively on bolstering the well-being of women and girls in the community through health, empowerment, menstrual health, education, and innovative energy solutions.

This remarkable event saw YRO board members and a team of dedicated volunteers coming together to provide essentials for hundreds of students from Primary Class one to Junior High School (JSS). Items distributed included female hygiene products, a vital component in ensuring the well-being and continuous education of young girls. Additionally, students received much-needed school supplies, laying the groundwork for a brighter educational future. Recognizing the importance of nutrition in cognitive function and overall growth, breakfast was also generously provided to the young learners.

"It's not just about providing supplies; it's about creating an environment where young girls feel supported and can thrive both academically and personally, said John Korblah Kuvedu, a representative of YRO. "Our initiatives are rooted in the belief that empowering the women and girls of today will lead to stronger, more resilient communities tomorrow.”

We finally received our 🇬🇭NPO License and we are excited to share the good news.

During 2021 till now, we have been working behind the scenes to put together our team and also a space for our first YRO OFFICE/DEMONSTRATION SITE
We are thrilled to be taking you guys along on our resilient mission.
We will also be throwing more light on what our VISION AND MISSION is.
