The GaDangme Council is a non-governmental, non-political and a non-religious organization that was founded in 1999 with three primary objectives; namely: To promote socio-economic development of the GaDangme Region for the well-being of its people; to preserve and protect GaDangme lands for development and benefit of the GaDangme people; and, to preserve and promote GaDangme heritage as an integral part of Ghanaian culture.

The members of the GADANGME COUNCIL WhatsApp Group led by Honorable Ayikoi Otoo collectively contributed funds to support and sponsor the Capacity Building Workshop organized for the Ga Language Teachers Association (GALATA). This generous contribution was aimed at promoting the teaching and preservation of the Ga language by equipping teachers with enhanced knowledge, practical skills and updated teaching methodologies.

The workshop brought together teachers of Ga Language from both private and public schools, creating a platform for learning, collaboration and professional development.

To ensure wider participation and effective engagement, the training was organized in four cohorts across different dates and venues:

This initiative reflects the commitment of the GADANGME COUNCIL WhatsApp Group to the growth of Ga education and the empowerment of educators. Through this sponsorship, members demonstrated unity, cultural responsibility, and support for continuous teacher development.

The workshop served as an important opportunity to strengthen the capacity of Ga language teachers, improve classroom delivery and contribute to preserving and promoting the Ga language for future generations.

The 2nd Award and Orientation Ceremony of the GDC Scholarship Programme was successfully held at the Accra College of Education Conference Hall on 22nd March 2026. The event brought together distinguished guests, education stakeholders, beneficiaries and well-wishers to celebrate academic excellence and support for aspiring students.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the GDC Scholarship Programme, as it recognized and awarded deserving students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, commitment and potential. In addition to the awards presentation, the event also served as an orientation session, where new beneficiaries were introduced to the objectives, expectations and opportunities that come with being part of the scholarship programme.

Attendees were inspired by insightful speeches from guest speakers, who emphasized the importance of education, discipline and personal development. The atmosphere was filled with pride, motivation and hope, as students were encouraged to make the most of this life-changing opportunity.

Overall, the event was a remarkable success, reinforcing GDC’s commitment to empowering young minds and contributing to the development of education in Ghana

TÜRKİYE SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAMME (GA MANTSE)

The Office of the Ga Mantse respectfully writes to formally inform the Ga Paramount Stool Dzaase and the Ga State about an educational opportunity made available under the Türkiye Scholarships Programme,, graciously extended through the Office of the Ga Mantse.

We are pleased to announce that a special quota scholarship slots have been allocated to the Ga Mantse for qualified applicants from the Ga State. The scholarship is fully funded by the Government of the Republic of Türkiye and is open to applicants seeking to pursue Undergraduate (Bachelor's), Master's, and Doctoral (PhD) degree programmes in accredited Turkish universities in various subjects.

The GaDangme Council was made proud by thier son DR. NATHANIEL NII ANTIAYE CODJOE, you were born on the 27th day of December 1997 to MR. EMMANUELAKUSHEY CODJOE of KWEI KUMATSOSHISHI, JAMESTOWN (BRITISH-ACCRA) and MRS. ROSE OBENG-DOKYL

Between 2002-2012 you were enrolled at Kwegyir Aggrey Memorial School, New Gbawe-Accra where you sat for your Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). Upon completion of your basic education, you were admitted to St Peter's Senior High School between 2012-2015 for your Secondary School Education.

Whilst at St Peter's Senior High School you were selected by your school to be a Contestant in the 2015 edition of the prestigious National Science and Maths Quiz where your school reached the impressive quarter-final stage. From August 2016 to October 2022, based upon your excellent performance at the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Exa- mination (WASSCE), you were admitted to the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Degrees at the University of Cape Coast, School of Medical Sciences where you passed your examinations with distinction.

Whilst at the Medical School you took part in extra curricula activities and between 2019-2020 served as Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Public Health, University of Cape Coast Medical Students' Association (SCOPH-UCCMSA) and between 2020-2021: also served as Chairperson of Standing Committee on Medical Education, University of Cape Coast Medical Students' Association (SCOME-UCCMSA).

PERSONALITY SPOTLIGHT

The leadership of the GaDangme Council stands as a true symbol of unity, wisdom and unwavering commitment to the progress of the GaDangme people.

Our Immediate Past President, Nuumo Amatɛi Akuɛtɛ, laid a strong foundation through his vision, selfless service and dedication to preserving our culture and identity. His leadership continues to inspire respect and gratitude across the GaDangme land.

Under the able leadership of our Current President, Hon. Ayikoi Otoo, the Council is experiencing renewed strength, direction and purpose. His experience, integrity and passion for justice and development gives hope and confidence to the present and future of the GaDangme people.

Supporting this noble vision is our First Vice President, Ataa Ayaa Kojo Armah, whose commitment, humility and tireless efforts reflect true servant leadership. His role in fostering unity and collaboration remains invaluable to the Council’s progress.

Together, these leaders embody continuity, resilience and progress. Their collective dedication reassures us that the GaDangme heritage is in safe hands, moving steadily toward a stronger, united and prosperous future.

The GaDangme Upliftment Foundation through Mr. Moses Nii Adjetey Adjei (Tsɔɔlɔ Zion - Obonu TV) and Abraham Ayita (Sir Abraham) of Lotsubue and member of the GaDangme Council, embarked on a book donation exercise to Lotsubue Basic School at Ningo.





This kind gesture was aimed at supporting and uplifting academic learning among the pupils by providing them with essential educational materials. The donation reflects the Foundation’s commitment to investing in education as a key pillar for community development.

Through this initiative, hope was rekindled in the hearts of Dangme children, reminding them that they are valued and supported and that a brighter and better future is possible through education.
