It's Day 2 of the Campaign, and we are spotlighting the work of our Frontline Church Partners today!

Compassion's work begins and ends with the local church. It's a model built on trust, proximity, and the belief that the church is uniquely positioned to help children thrive. Across the globe, thousands of church partners walk alongside children and families in their communities, providing support that is tailored to local needs and rooted in lasting relationships.

In Ghana, Compassion International partners with 454 local churches across 13 of 16 regions, reaching more than 100,000 children and youth. Our church partners' impact is so tangible, and that is what makes the Compassion model so unique.

This week, Compassion International Ghana joins the Compassion International family in celebrating . Every day this week, we will share stories that highlight the impact on the children, families, and communities we serve.

At Compassion, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Around the world, our church-based programs are helping more than 2.4 million children develop their God-given potential. When children are cared for in mind, body, and soul, they know they are loved and valued by Jesus.

We are proud of our alumna, Salamatu Haruna, Esq., on her call to the Ghana Bar!

Salamatu joined the Compassion program through the Pentecost Fadama Child and Youth Development Center in the late 2000s. With support from the Church partner and Compassion International Ghana, she was able to pursue her education and work toward her dream of becoming a lawyer.

Her achievement reflects our mission of releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Through our holistic child development program, we support children’s spiritual, physical, social, and cognitive development, equipping them with the skills and opportunities they need to grow into thriving adults.

Congratulations, Salamatu! We are proud of you and wish you the very best as you begin this new chapter in your legal career. Keep shining!

The verse reminds us that every living thing depends on God and he faithfully supplies what is needed at the right time. It encourages us to trust in God’s timing and provision.

Sometimes we may not receive what we desire immediately, but we can be confident that God knows our needs and provides in ways that are best for us. As we look to Him with faith, we find assurance that He is a dependable father who satisfies and sustains us.

This year participants in the Accra cluster celebrated the International Youth Day in a unique fashion. The event presented a platform where participants used their smartphones in interactive simulation rooms to experiment with AI tools, social media platforms, digital content creation, and video production.

Some of our participants in Accra celebrated International Youth Day 2026 with an engaging, youth-centered program under the theme, “Common Aspirations, Different Contexts – Bridging the Gap with Technology.” The event brought together young people from technical and vocational institutions and tertiary students to create a space for participants to explore how technology can support education, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and future opportunities through practical, hands-on learning experiences.

This year’s celebration shifted from traditional presentations and speeches to a platform where participants used their smartphones in interactive simulation rooms to experiment with AI tools, social media platforms, digital content creation, and video production.

The goal is to help participants gain valuable digital skills while strengthening their creativity, confidence, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Here are a few picture highlights from the event.
