Compassion International Ghana, led by the National Director, Kobina Yeboah Okyere, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Honorable Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey.

The meeting was to introduce CIGH to the minister and discuss our work in Ghana and potential areas of collaboration on holistic child and youth development.

As partners, we can work together to help our young people grow into change agents who influence their world. Here are picture highlights from the engagement.

Compassion International Ghana, in its efforts to strengthen collaboration and partnerships, held a Denominational Heads Meeting on April 23, 2026.

The meeting is a chance to share updates on the ministry’s progress and direction, keep church leaders informed, and get their input and feedback on current programme activities.

We believe this forum presents a unique opportunity for our partnership to thrive as we serve our participants and their families.

Here are some highlights from the engagement.

Malaria is a preventable and treatable disease, yet it still claims lives. This year’s theme calls on us to act now and avoid losing more lives to malaria.

Let us remember that ending malaria is not just a goal, it is a responsibility we all share therefore, let us support the fight against malaria.

In the face of a devastating drought that wiped out crop yields during the 2024 farming season, Compassion International Ghana, in partnership with the Konkrompe Church of Pentecost Child and Youth Development Center, turned adversity into triumph.

After analyzing five years of climate patterns, the center strategically shifted its focus to climate-resilient livelihoods by launching a beekeeping initiative in the region’s cashew and shea parklands.

As part of its caregiver empowerment program, 30 caregivers were each equipped with four hives, essential tools, and hands-on training. Within just eight months, 120 hives were installed, 85 colonies were formed, and 55 hives were successfully harvested despite a late start to the swarming season.

By May 2025, the caregivers had produced 737 kg of crude honey, yielding 450 liters of refined honey and 14 kg of wax. This generated a remarkable GHS 19,995.00 in local income.

Compassion International Ghana remains committed to empowering our caregivers to raise their children. This video highlights the journey thus far.

Our verse today is a call to live a life that reflects godly character. It encourages us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. It also emphasizes the importance of forgiveness. Just as God forgave us, we are encouraged to forgive others when they wrong us. This way, we exhibit the nature of Christ in our interaction with others.

Our verse today shows us that even when we fail or fall short, God does not withdraw his love or break his promises. His covenant remains constant because his character is trustworthy and dependable. God’s faithfulness is not based on human perfection but on his steadfast love and truth. We can rely on him always to keep his promises to us.

As we celebrate this Easter, let us be reminded of the sacredness of the season and the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for humanity. This is a season for reflection on our faith and the reassurance of the promise of everlasting life in his resurrection. May this season fill your heart with peace, strengthen your faith in God, and inspire love and kindness in all that you do. Wishing you a blessed and joyful Easter!
