Last month, August 15, 2026, the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) held an insightful and engaging training session as part of its ongoing YEC Webinar Series, featuring Dr. Fathiaya Nzhelayim Zakari on the Fundamentals of Project Management.
The session provided participants with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the principles, processes, and tools required to effectively plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate projects.
The training was particularly relevant to young professionals and emerging leaders who are increasingly involved in community initiatives, organizational projects, entrepreneurship, and development programmes.
Through the session, participants were equipped with valuable skills to improve project planning, resource management, teamwork, risk management, problem-solving, and the successful delivery of project objectives. Beyond theoretical knowledge, the training emphasized the importance of effective project management in transforming ideas into measurable and sustainable results.
YEC continues to prioritize capacity building as a critical pathway to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to contribute meaningfully to national development.
