Walking on Water: A Journey of Faith
Chapter One: The Storm Begins
Twelve-year-old Daniel sat at the edge of the small fishing boat, his legs swinging over the side. The sun was setting, painting the sky in orange and gold. The sea was calm, and the air smelled of salt and hope. Daniel was on the boat with his father, Uncle James, and his older brother, Peter. They were going to the other side of the lake to deliver fish to a village. Daniel loved these trips. They gave him time to dream and talk to God. Suddenly, his father pointed to the sky. “Storm’s coming.” Dark clouds rolled in quickly, and the wind began to howl. Rain poured, and waves grew large. The boat rocked dangerously. 'God, please help us!' Daniel cried. His father shouted above the storm, 'Have faith!' But Daniel wasn't so sure.
